The OREO x Pokémon launch was the most successful limited edition OREO ever. Our collectible collaboration created a frenzy, which put the brand on track to add $1 billion in sales—and had cookies reselling for thousands of dollars online.

The Film

Our launch film was an homage to the original black and white Game Boy game, which used our OREO cookies as pixels. Each frame was hand-drawn, then rendered into cookies.

The Cookies

For the first time ever, we created cookies with different rarities inside the packs. Mew was the rarest, just like in the Pokémon universe.

We also 3D-printed 8,300 of our cookies and turned them into a billboard on Venice Beach. Here fans could get a sneak preview of each of our unique cookie characters.

Reaction

Fans went absolutely crazy for our collaboration—reselling packs and cookies for thousands of dollars on eBay.

The fan reaction was so intense that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert picked up on it and turned it into a fully animated music video.

We even became a clue on Jeopardy!
